Heartland would like to take this opportunity to pass on an important message from our friends at Micah Challenge Australia:
“We're writing to Micah Challenge campaigners all around the country because we need your help to impact your local Member of Parliament and the Treasurer.
Over the next few months we are asking our supporters across Australia to join our Offering of Letters campaign, and write to the Treasurer/ Deputy PM Wayne Swan reminding our Government that citizens of Australia want to see strong action to reduce global poverty!
Can you spare 15 minutes to write a personal, hand-written letter to Mr. Swan?

Your letters will be delivered to your MP as part of our Voices for Justice lobbying efforts, (see previous news article about registering for VFJ) with a request to pass them on to Mr. Swan.
You can take part anytime in June, July or August, but please ensure that you return your letters to our office by 1 September so we can take them to Voices for Justice. (You may also like to send someone from your group to the event to personally deliver your letters to your MP).”
