Slow Train Still Coming!

As they say in the classics, beware lest the light at the end of the tunnel is a very slow train coming towards you... even slow trains pack some punch.

Well, I'm not sure if that is a classic but people have been asking how the new album project is progressing and I wanted to give you all an update. Things have been slow and reasonably challenging with my fellow collaboraters all dealing with life issues at different times which tends to string processes out a bit.

With everyone in better shape and with a bit of time, we have agreed to do as much work before Christmas as we can (maybe even a promo gig or two) so that we can get into the studio as early in the New Year as is possible with a mutual committment for a February-March 2012 release date.

Thanks to all who have shown interest in how we are going. We are so thankful to all our wonderful supporters, this one's for you!

We've done a fair bit of pre-production work and Karen has already been dabbling with some stellar production ideas so I am really vibed about the season ahead of us.

Keep an eye out on the HMA pages for updates as they come to hand.

Thanks Heaps!!

“We have to keep finding core truths that consistently put the important messages front and centre and this is why I believe that the 2011 Voices for Justice effort was so significant. Heartland CSO and Micah Challenge ACT volunteer facilitator Graeme Hush (seen pictured here) reflects on 4 days in Canberra this September.

Over the next week or two Heartland will properly establish, support and resource the ACT office for the voluntary facilitation of Micah Challenge opportunities across this region including logistical oversight for the 'Voices for Justice' event in September.

The office isn't trying to become the only place through which these things can happen, it is simply providing a focal and reference point for an increase of help and support, to ensure that we continue to assist as many people as possible to advocate for the world's extreme poor by word and by lifestyle.

Prior to the Summer 2011 Album Release Tour, Graeme & Karen will perform as duo KayGee on Saturday evening 30th July as part of the 'Christmas in July' festivities at the 'Red Olive' Tappas Restaurant on the main road in South Mittagong NSW.

Why not make a night of it and come for the party. Book in for a scrumptious meal and let hosts Gordon, Helen and the whole 'Highlands Bunch' Brownlee-Barr family cook up a storm whilst creating a warm and appetizing atmosphere for you to sing along with a familiar tune or two from KayGee.

SATURDAY 30TH JULY 2011 from about 6.30pm - 3/185 Old Hume Hwy Mittagong (in the Southern Highlands of NSW near Bowral.  Come and Join Us!

Stay tuned for more performance dates and venues ...
